Operating Room Surgical Technologist

Boston, MA

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Mid Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Day/Evening Rotation | 40 Hours per Week | 7:00 AM start times on day shift; 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM start times on evening shift | Every 3rd weekend as needed | Every other holiday | Call: 1x per schedule

• Scrub and assist in a wide range of surgical specialties including general, gynecology, urology, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine surgery
• Perform surgical technologist duties across a 22-room OR department staffed 24/7
• Demonstrate competency in a minimum of 5 surgical service lines
• Maintain a positive attitude and flexible approach in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment
• Float to other OR campuses as needed
• Communicate effectively with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient surgical experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Active NBSTSA certification required (no other surgical tech certification accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Competency in at least 5 of the listed surgical service lines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a high-volume, rotating shift environment

• Experience in robotics-assisted surgical procedures
• Familiarity with pediatric and cardiac surgical services
• Demonstrated ability to float and adapt across multiple OR environments
