Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights with Day/Night Rotation | Shift lengths of 8, 10, and 12 hours | Shift start times: 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM, and 11:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every 3rd weekend as needed | Every other holiday | One call shift per scheduling period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical technologist support across a 22-room OR department staffed 24/7, covering a wide range of surgical services including general, gynecology, GU, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
• Demonstrate competency in at least 5 of the listed surgical service lines
• Support Level 1 trauma cases as required by the department
• Participate in call shifts and weekend coverage on a rotating basis
• Maintain a positive attitude, flexibility, and excellent communication skills in a fast-paced surgical environment
• May float to other OR campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient surgical experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Active NBSTSA certification required — no other surgical tech certification will be accepted
• BLS certification required
• Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local rate
• Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible to be submitted as travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Competency across multiple surgical specialties, particularly in high-acuity or complex service lines
• Experience working in a high-volume, 24/7 OR environment
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying shift lengths and start times
