Key Responsibilities

• Perform safe, sterile setup and handling of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical cases
• Gather all necessary instrumentation and supplies as indicated on surgeon pick sheets
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of patient care and departmental operations
• Accept pressure assignments, clerical assignments, and other duties relative to the surgical department
• Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current ORT (Operating Room Technologist) certification required
• Current operating room experience is essential
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Ability to communicate effectively with department personnel, medical staff, and vendor representatives

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience handling both routine and emergency surgical cases
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment
