    Job Title

    Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

    Location

    Rochester, NY

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (9:00–19:30) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Scrub and assist across multiple surgical service lines including general, vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, gynecology, urology, thoracic, colorectal, ENT, and plastic surgery cases
    • Support laparoscopic, robotic (Da Vinci Xi), and open surgical procedures while maintaining strict aseptic technique
    • Perform proper specimen handling, labeling, and sharps safety protocols throughout all procedures
    • Participate in the Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedure prior to every case
    • Adhere to decontamination and sterilization processes and indicators per facility standards
    • Fulfill on-call obligations including 6 call shifts per 8-week block, inclusive of weekends and holidays
    Required Qualifications
    • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required (unless candidate worked as a surgical tech in New York prior to 2015)
    • Active New York state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 3 years of surgical technologist experience; 3+ years strongly preferred
    • Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement
    • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
    • Must be available for call shifts, weekend shifts, and holiday coverage as outlined in contract
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience across a broad range of service lines including robotic-assisted colorectal surgery, neurosurgery, vascular, and bariatric procedures
    • Prior travel assignment experience; first-time travelers are not accepted for this position
    • Familiarity with XLIF, ESWL/Lithotripsy, VATS, Mediastinoscopy, and other advanced surgical techniques
