    Certified Surgical Technologist

    Key Responsibilities
    • Maintain operative care standards in accordance with AORN guidelines
    • Stock rooms, clean equipment, and prepare supplies based on surgeon and anesthesia requirements
    • Assist with patient positioning, surgical hand scrubs, instrument counts, and Time Out procedures
    • Identify and address safety hazards while adhering to universal precautions and infection control protocols
    • Organize tasks to meet patient and unit needs, adapting to changes and maintaining current knowledge of education and policies
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) required
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply AORN operative care standards
    • Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods as required by the role
    • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience practicing at full scope within a surgical technologist role
    • Familiarity with shared governance environments and contribution to program development or care planning
