Job Title

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – General Surgery

Pittsfield, MA

Contract | Days | 8-Hour Shifts | Onsite

• Scrub and assist in a wide range of surgical procedures including General, Gynecology, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics (including total joints), Neurosurgery (head and spine), and Trauma
• Work independently in the surgical setting with minimal supervision
• Precept and support orientation of incoming surgical staff as required
• Respond to on-call assignments and call-back requirements as scheduled
• Adhere to facility dress code and participate in non-billable orientation period upon start

• Minimum of 5 years of current CST experience (non-negotiable)
• Active NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted)
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in General, Gyn, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic (including total joints), Neuro/Head/Spine, and Trauma procedures
• Prior travel assignment experience required (first-time travelers will not be considered)
• Ability to precept and work independently (non-negotiable)
• Must be willing and able to take call; candidates who cannot take call will not be considered
• Must have personal reliable transportation
• Two recent supervisory signed references (within the past two years) required (non-negotiable)
• Current CST Skills Checklist completed within the past year

• Experience with C-sections, ENT, Plastics, and/or DaVinci Robotic procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR system
