Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub technologist duties across a broad range of surgical specialties including General, Gynecology, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics (including total joints), Neurosurgery (head and spine), and Trauma
- Work independently in the operating room with minimal supervision
- Precept and support orientation of other surgical team members as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by the department
- Follow facility dress code and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of current CST experience (non-negotiable)
- Active NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in General, Gynecology, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics (including total joints), Neurosurgery/Head/Spine, and Trauma procedures
- Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Ability to precept and work independently; must be willing to take call and work five 8-hour shifts (10- and 12-hour shift schedules are not available)
- Must have personal reliable transportation
- Two recent supervisory signed references (within the past two years) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with C-sections, ENT, Plastics, and/or DaVinci Robotic procedures
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
