Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | 1:4 weekend rotation | On-call requirements include one overnight trauma call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM); specialty team call scheduled per team rules

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a scrub technologist in a high-volume operating room specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures within a Level I Trauma Center environment
• Demonstrate competency in robotic-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci Xi system, as well as procedures including PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies
• Provide scrub support across a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
• Operate and assist with surgical equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot platforms
• Participate in on-call rotations including overnight trauma call coverage as assigned
• Document and communicate accurately using the Epic EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Flu vaccination required prior to submittal
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekend and on-call obligations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in General Surgery, GU/GYN, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, or Endovascular procedures
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level I Trauma setting
• Comfort and adaptability working across multiple surgical specialties
• Strong interpersonal skills with a flexible, accountable, and team-oriented approach
