    Job Title

    Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Travel Contract)

    Location

    Reston, Virginia

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (some shifts extending to 4:00 PM Monday–Thursday) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Scrub and/or circulate cardiovascular OR procedures including open heart surgeries, CABGs, MVR, TVR, AVR, VATS, and vascular procedures
    • Perform room setup, room turnover, and obtain necessary disposables and instrument sets as needed
    • Maintain strict sterile technique throughout all procedures
    • Set up and operate specialized equipment including Belmont, ESU, cell saver, central line, and arterial line setups
    • Collaborate with board runners, charge nurses, service line coordinators, and ancillary staff to support efficient room turnovers
    • Float to main operating rooms as needed per unit floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, with CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience
    • Current BLS certification
    • Proficiency in sterile technique and cardiovascular surgical procedures
    • Experience with room setup, room turnover, and instrument/disposable procurement
    • Strong teamwork skills and ability to proactively identify and address potential issues
    • Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach to care
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CNOR certification preferred
    • Experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
    • Familiarity with Belmont setup and operation, cell saver, central line, and arterial line setup
