Certified Surgical Tech - OR
Job Details:
• Work in a ground floor operating room with 5 rooms and a staff of 12
• Day shift position with 1 charge, 2 RNs, and 3 CSTs
• Late coverage/call required bi-weekly
• Float to Endoscopy as needed
• Work with equipment including power drills, saws, Arthrex, Synthes, Stryker, Zimmer, laparoscopic towers, insufflators, bovie, microscope, coblator, suction, cautery, and OR tables
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Hospital laundered scrubs and hair cover required
• Perform surgical identification and setup
• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic practice
• Conduct counts and specimen handling
• Perform surgical site preparation and draping
• Handle medication on sterile field
• Troubleshoot sterile field contamination
• Maintain fast room turnover
• Work independently with minimal orientation
• Support orthopedic surgery including total joints, ENT, general surgery, uro/gyn, ophthalmic surgery, GYN procedures/hysteroscopy/cystoscopy, tonsillectomy, thyroidectomy, FESS, and FUSION procedures
• Intraoperative neuromonitoring familiarity and vendor coordination preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, CST
