Key Responsibilities
Perform surgical scrub duties in an operating room environment supporting a variety of general surgical and cardiac procedures
Assist surgical teams in a 7-room OR suite, including one dedicated heart room and six general operating rooms
Rotate through weekend shifts and participate in on-call coverage including weekend and holiday call assignments
Collaborate with anesthesia technologists, nurse aides, and clinical coordinators to ensure smooth perioperative workflow
Utilize Cerner Surginet EMR system for documentation and case management
Maintain a 1:1 scrub-to-surgeon ratio throughout all assigned surgical cases
Required Qualifications
Active BLS certification required
Active ACLS certification required
Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist in an OR setting
Proficiency or ability to quickly learn Cerner Surginet EMR
Ability to participate in on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with cardiac or heart room surgical cases
Familiarity with Draeger ventilator systems and Philips telemetry equipment
Experience in a perioperative environment supporting general surgery cases
