Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical technologist support within a busy surgical services department operating across 8 rooms with a daily census of approximately 25
• Scrub in on a variety of surgical procedures, maintaining sterile field and assisting the surgical team throughout cases
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by the department
• Float to other areas or sister facilities as needed based on unit needs
• Work weekends per the needs of the unit
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of surgical technologist experience required; 5 or more years preferred
• Valid California state license preferred; pending license accepted at time of submission — compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this assignment
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days for the assignment period
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals accepted at a different rate tier)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Facility does not accept background hits; candidates with Nursys or background issues will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of experience in a surgical services or perioperative setting
• Prior experience in an acute care facility environment
• Familiarity with floating between multiple facilities or departments
