Travel CVOR Surgical Tech
LocationWichita, Kansas
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | On-call required (1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month)
Key Responsibilities- Scrub and assist in open heart cardiovascular surgical procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR
- Function as CVOR Surgical Tech in a 2-heart-room unit with potential use of a third room
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and uphold high standards of patient experience and safety
- Collaborate effectively with CVOR RNs, surgeons, and the broader surgical team
- Utilize EMR systems (Meditech / CPN) for documentation and patient care coordination
- Participate in on-call coverage as required per unit schedule
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of current acute care CVOR Surgical Tech hospital experience
- Current, active Kansas state licensure/certification required
- BLS certification required
- Confident, team-oriented, and positive attitude with strong communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills- ACLS certification
- Open heart and cardiovascular surgical experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
