Travel Surgical Technologist (CST) | 13-Week Contract | Day Shift

 

Join a collaborative surgical team and play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel contract. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in maintaining a sterile environment, anticipating surgeon needs, and supporting successful surgical outcomes.

 

Assignment Details

  • Position: Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Start Date: September 9, 2026
  • Schedule: Days, 5x8
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Openings: 1
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Interview Required: Yes

Job Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technologist, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Facilitate operative and invasive procedures by assisting the surgical team.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and clinical staff during surgery.
  • Ensure proper handling, counting, and organization of surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Support patient safety initiatives and infection prevention standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
  • Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse patient populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Robotics surgery experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Previous travel assignment experience

Interview Process

  • Phone or Microsoft Teams interview with the Unit Manager
  • Candidates should be prepared to receive a call from the client after submission, as interviews may be scheduled with little advance notice.

Additional Information

  • Shift cancellation policy: Up to 2 shifts per 4-week period
  • Facility reports no traveler cancellations since implementation of current staffing model
