Job Summary The Organization is seeking a Surgical Technician with Obstetrical Technician specialization in Templeton, California. This role involves providing patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery, assisting in obstetrics-related surgical procedures, and supporting nursing staff with patient activities before and after surgery. The position contributes to ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment within the healthcare facility.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); Must have EPIC experience
Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Technical Degree; Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification
Assists in preparation of patient rooms and setup for procedures utilizing aseptic technique; Checks sterile packaging integrity
Provides surgical support during obstetrics-related surgery; Handles supplies and instruments efficiently
Participates in operative timeouts and supports nursing staff during deliveries by preparing, positioning, transporting, and discharging patients
Collects urinalysis specimens and records maternal vital signs, including weight, height, and intake & output measurements
Performs personal care services and supports activities of daily living for patients
Assists with patient positioning, transfers, and discharge procedures
Performs other clinical duties as assigned to support patient care and surgical team operations
