Job Summary:
The healthcare facility in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week assignment starting on 09/08/2026. This role involves sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment within a Magnet recognized facility with a Level II Trauma designation. The position requires working night shifts, with scheduled rotation through weekends, and offers a block schedule with guaranteed hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, NBSTSA, or CSPDT; at least 1 year of experience; no previous charge experience required; candidates with community hospital and trauma level II experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with OR, cleaning equipment, high-level disinfection, washers/sterilizers, case cart management, sterilization procedures, sets/trays assembly, equipment documentation, and handling specialized scopes and procedures such as orthopedics, neuro, and robotics
• Additional Information: Candidate must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). The assignment requires the candidate to be at least 50 miles from the facility and entails floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. References covering 1 year of recent experience are required, and candidates must obtain a valid state license, with pending licenses accepted for up to 12 weeks.
• Note: Time off requests must be approved individually, and all RTO must be included in the submittal.
