Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position is located in a busy level 2 trauma center within a healthcare facility serving a large regional area. This role involves providing technical patient care, supporting surgical teams with instrumentation, maintaining sterile procedures, and ensuring equipment readiness for various surgical procedures. The position requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment, collaboration with medical professionals, and flexibility to work on weekdays, including potential holidays and call shifts.

Job Details:

• Shift: Weekdays, 4 days a week, combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, with a schedule of 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association standards required. Two years of experience in operating room or trauma settings. Prior travel experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced surgical instrumentation and trauma care.
• Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to their competency level. May work major holidays and pick up additional shifts during the schedule period. Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts.
