Join our team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg at a leading acute-care hospital in Carlsbad, NM. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver general skilled nursing (SNF) level of care nursing duties.
• Float between Rehab and Med/Surg units as required, within scope of practice and clinical competency.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:8.
• Participate in floating and call as needed, with call varying based on census.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• All NM travelers must complete a fingerprinting process; candidates must be submitted only if your agency is registered with the state of New Mexico.

Additional Information:

• Scrub color: Any color.
• EMR system used: MedHost.
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated; please include this in your submission.
• There is no on-call schedule for Med-Surg; nurses may be put on call only for census flex prior to the start of the scheduled shift if the census is low.
• Unit capacity: 15 beds.
• 48-hour guarantees are NOT approved.
