The rotation is typically every third weekend but with PTO and being in between travel contracts it could be every other weekend as described in call description. Unit Information: Number of Beds: 154 Patient Ratios: 1:1 Equipment: Client, Mindray EHR: Paragon and Vidistar Supervisor: Kevin Nelson Imaging Coordinator Patient Population e.g. geriatric, adult, peds, etc.: Adult and Geriatric patients. No peds. Hiring Profile: Must Have Skills/Experience: Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Performs echocardiographic studies considering the age-specific physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the patient. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Performs quality Doppler and color Doppler exams. Acquires quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards. Performs quality trans-esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations. Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Preferred Skillset/Experience: Mentioned above. Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Aortic stenosis, Aortic regurgitation, Mitral stenosis, Mitral valve prolapse, etc. Personality Fit: High performer with eager attitude. Able to work independently. Fast learner with EHR system and Vidistar. Adaptable to setting. Required Education: Completion of a cardiac and vascular ultrasound course or any combination of training and experience that provides the skills and abilities to perform the requirements of this position. Required Licenses: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Registered with credentials as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS), or Cardiac Credentialing International (RCS) required.
