Keeps areas neat and attractive in accordance with established procedures. Greets patients, visitors, and employees courteously. Identifies self to patients and explains presence. Responds to inquiries politely and promptly. Refers matters outside the scope of work duties to the appropriate personnel. Transports supplies and equipment for cleaning as needed. Maintains supplies and equipment in an orderly manner. Transports dirty equipment to the specified cleaning area. Cleans equipment following infection control regulations. Returns cleaned equipment to the appropriate location. Receives deliveries to replenish necessary supplies for cleaning and equipment repair. Maintains a written log of supply status. Marks and delivers broken equipment to the designated repair area and informs supervisor. Completes inventory slips indicating equipment status and expected completion dates. Maintains status reviews of equipment. May answer questions raised by departments regarding equipment. Removes instruments and equipment from patient rooms for transportation as required. Follows all risk management and quality assurance safety standards in accordance with established protocols. Cleans various items such as carts and shelves using assigned cleaning solutions. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
