Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Akron, OH. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of surgical instruments and equipment. As part of a team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment under the direction of a Unit Manager/Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician- Inspect, test, clean, decontaminate, and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Identify and assemble surgical instrumentation using count sheets
- Perform biological and chemical monitoring of sterilizers daily
- Apply proper procedures in the operation of washers and sterilizers
- Perform all functions of flexible endoscope decontamination
- Receive and track loaner and borrowed instrumentation
- Act as liaison with individuals responsible for ordering supplies
- Respond to requests to locate instrumentation and supplies
Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current HSPA or CBSP Certification
- 2+ years of recent experience in sterile processing
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and handle physical demands
- Knowledge of appropriate medical terminology for surgical applications
