Shifts: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM (Every other weekend required)

Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Bethpage, NY. This role is in a large, state-of-the-art off-site reprocessing center, providing sterile processing services for multiple facilities, including emergency services. Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician

• Disassemble, clean, sterilize, reassemble and package sterile supplies according to specifications.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, and other equipment.
• Adhere to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts.
• Retrieve used trays, instruments, and equipment from various hospital areas.
• Examine instruments and equipment for cleanliness and proper functionality.
• Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Maintain a contaminant-free work environment.

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician

• Sterile processing certification (CRCST or CSPD, must not expire during the assignment)
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 2+ years of certified experience in a tertiary setting, or 1 year with 4 years of SPT experience in a tertiary setting
• Experience with STERIS Washers, Autoclave, and SynergyTrak IT System
• Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds and perform manual tasks for extended periods
• Effective communication skills in English
