Seven Healthcare is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Bethpage, NY. This position involves working in a state-of-the-art off-site reprocessing center providing crucial sterile processing services to multiple facilities, including tertiary sites and ambulatory surgery centers. The role requires supervising and coordinating the staff and daily operations of Central Sterile services.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician- Supervise and coordinate the staff and daily operations of Central Sterile services.
- Ensure staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure sterilization activities are properly documented and participate in the maintenance of department records.
- Serve as a liaison between Central Sterile department and perioperative areas, coordinating activities and resolving problems.
- Ensure proper care and handling of all instrumentation received through the decontamination area.
- Accept and tag fast tracks.
- Assign employees to their job tasks every day and move them around when needed.
Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician- Current Registered Central Supply Technician Certification (CRCST or CSPD) must not expire during term of assignment.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Leadership / management experience, required.
- Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds, required.
- Manual dexterity, ability to stand, bend, lift, and/or reach for extended periods of time, required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) and follow oral and/or written instructions, required.
