Job Title: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Profession: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Specialty: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Duration: 12 months Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM + on-call requirements Experience: Minimum years of experience required as outlined for licensure/certifications/registrations. License: Must maintain active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Registration. Certifications: Must maintain active RCIS certification. Must maintain active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider certification. Must-Have: Skills in coordination of patient care delivery, health teaching, health promotion, and understanding of clinical technologies. Description: Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment. Identifies and determines the priority of patients' problems and needs. Evaluates the process and outcomes of nursing care. Coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments. Analyzes assessment data and creates a plan of care. Implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness. Administers medications safely and in accordance with policies and procedures. Serves as the point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout different hospital departments. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement. Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery. May be asked to float to cover additional services as needed. Responsible for documenting procedures and circulating the room for additional support during procedures. Knowledge of contemporary nursing practices and future innovations is essential. Application of the nursing process in patient care delivery is required. Evaluation of professional nursing practice to optimize goals and outcomes is expected. Integration of quality improvement, evidence-based practices, and research in practice is necessary. Must demonstrate accountability for professional actions and effective stewardship of available resources. Ability to manage conflict and demonstrate resilience is required. Authority for delegating activities to others while remaining responsible and accountable for outcomes is necessary.
