Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Telemetry Float for a night shift acute care float pool position requiring 2 years of comparable acuity experience and Cerner EMR proficiency.

Details

• Acute care float position, assigned by nursing supervisor at time of staffing needs
• Float coverage across multiple units including Medical, Surgery/GI, Trauma, Oncology, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Pulmonary, and Cardiac Surgery/Cardiac units
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6, though ratios vary according to need
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45p-7:15a with 30-minute lunch)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Not open to block scheduling

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting required
• Prior Cerner EMR experience required
• Two references required, may be pending at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide float coverage across a wide range of specialty units as needed
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Facility-based orientation and annual training modules required, averaging 2-4 hours (5 hours max)
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous employees are eligible to return
• Travel pairs are allowed
