Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Cardiac care experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Strong adaptability and confidence in a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult acute care patients in Med/Surg Telemetry and cardiac settings
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
• Float to designated units based on patient care needs within the hospital
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in EPIC
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
• Work every other weekend and selected holidays as scheduled
