Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit position requiring cardiac cath experience and willingness to work all shift types.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma tertiary care hospital setting on the Telemetry/PCU floor
• Cardiac geriatric patient population with diagnoses including CP, MI, open heart, Watchman, TAVR, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacer patients
• RN to patient ratio of 1:5, with NA support ratios of 10-12 during days and 20-22 during nights
• Uses pacer and A-lines equipment
• EPIC EMR utilized
• Must be willing and able to work all shift types including days, nights, and mid shifts
• Weekend rotation every other weekend depending on unit staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Not normally floated, but may float to 1:1 assignments depending on unit needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
• Cardiac cath experience required
• Positive attitude and strong team fit valued
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to cardiac and geriatric patients including monitoring post-op cardiac cath and pacer patients
• Complete and clear screenings required prior to start
• Pennsylvania fingerprint clearances required, including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrub color is unrestricted, though hoodies are not permitted and only nose stud piercings are allowed
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Priority given to candidates with no requested time off
