Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on the night shift, requiring 2 years of experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• IMC Med/Surg unit with a wide variety of patient types including Neuro, Respiratory, Cardiac, and GI
• Manages patients requiring triple drips and BiPAP support
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or compact state
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess and address patient and family education needs
• Delegate and coordinate care with other providers as needed
• Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have been separated for at least 6 months before starting a new travel assignment
