Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in various Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units. Our ideal candidates will be able to provide exceptional patient care while demonstrating clinical proficiency and a commitment to teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret patient heart rhythms and vital signs.
• Administer cardiac drips as required, ensuring proper titration.
• Float between different units as needed, including ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units.
• Provide care for patients with a range of diagnoses, including post-operative and cardiac care.
• Participate in daily rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Complete necessary documentation and maintain compliance with facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Neuro Intensive Care unit qualification (NIHSS) preferred for specific unit placements.
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing.
• Successful completion of a simulation lab assessment on the first day of orientation.

Unit Information

• Telemetry Units:
  • CV Telemetry (32 beds)
  • Neuro Telemetry (28 beds)
• Medical-Surgical Units:
  • MedSurg C5 (32 beds): Ortho, Surgical, Oncology patients.
  • MedSurg B2C (29 beds): General MedSurg patients requiring telemetry.

Work Environment

This role involves working in fast-paced, acute care settings, with opportunities for floating between units, enhancing diverse clinical experiences. The staff is expected to maintain adaptability in workflow and collaboration across various departments.

Schedule Requirements

Shifts are typically 12 hours long. Registered Nurses will be required to work every other weekend and fulfill obligations for major and minor holidays.
