Registered Nurse - Long Term Observation & Med-Surg

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will primarily work on the 3 North Long Term Observation unit but will also be required to float to other Med-Surg units such as Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and possibly the Emergency Department as well, provided they possess the appropriate skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Long Term Observation and Med-Surg units.
• Float between various Med-Surg units as needed.
• Possibly provide care in the Emergency Department, based on staffing needs and qualifications.
• Read and interpret telemetry monitors effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Telemetry or Med-Surg nursing.
• Current proficiency in Epic EMR; refresher classes are not available.
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
• Must be able to pass a telemetry competency test on the first day of employment.
