Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC Telemetry position requiring vent and transplant experience along with a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Work across two IMC units: D6/5 Acute Med/Progressive Care and B4/3 Thoracic
• Day/evening 12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday
• Every other weekend and some holidays required
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required, ideally within the past 12 months

Requirements

• Active WI RN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry/oncology/cardiac/PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting
• Ventilator and transplant patient experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting assignment

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care across cardiac, oncology, and stepdown patient populations
• Skills include arterial line management, central/PICC line care, chest tube management, vasoactive drip titration, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, rapid response/code team engagement, wound care, and insulin drip titration
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Parking permit may be required for on-site parking, though alternative transportation options are available
• Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as the top hospital in Wisconsin
