Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years' experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital environment with 36 rooms/beds
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on a block schedule
• Floating required to units of equal acuity
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (State or Compact) currently in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry remote monitoring
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Experience managing respiratory patients including BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to a cardiac, neurological, and post-surgical patient population
• Complete core onboarding items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Complete required onsite orientation modules averaging 4-6 hours for RNs
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Not accepted if residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days automatically approved and none during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role
