This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with cardiovascular and other critical conditions, including stroke, sepsis, and respiratory failure, with a focus on cardiac drip management, post-catheterization recovery, and accurate monitoring and documentation.
Job Details
Position Description: Telemetry (TELE) RN in an acute care unit with 27 beds, expanding to 37 beds in June. The unit handles conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, Stroke, Sepsis, Diabetes, CAD, Renal Failure, and Respiratory Failure. Experience with TR bands and Fem stops is preferred.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification, minimum of 2 years experience as a telemetry nurse, cardiac drip experience including set rate diltiazem and amiodarone, NIH stroke assessment, post-catheter recovery, and chest tube experience.
Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Float to similar units and Med/Surg floors as needed; may float to ICU if experienced. Candidates should have experience reading and interpreting telemetry monitors, currently SpaceLab transitioning to Philips, with documentation every 6 hours.
Other Requirements: System onboarding followed by two orientation shifts; scrubs must be clean, well-kept, and professional. Prioritize meeting the facilitys 50-mile radius rule, confirmed by candidates permanent address.
