Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse position in a short-term acute care facility with a level II trauma designation. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care on a heavy neuro unit, with responsibilities including management of neuro patients, post-surgical neurology care, and proficiency with neurological assessments. The position requires adaptability to float between units and adherence to unit-specific protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of telemetry experience; neuro experience not required but willingness to learn is essential; valid compact license in hand at submission
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NIH scale, managing post neurosurgical and neurological patients, proficiency in chest tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and trauma care
• Float: Float rotation may be required to meet unit needs
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work three of the five designated holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. All scheduling requests, including RTO, should be submitted upfront with the application; late requests may not be accommodated. The assignment involves working in a designated stroke unit with a JCAHO designation, a Spine Center of Excellence, and a Level 3 epilepsy center. The unit utilizes Epic charting system, and at least 6 months of neuro experience may be required for certain shifts.
