Job Details
Position Description: The role involves caring for patients on a 23-bed neuroscience unit, with responsibilities including post-operative spine surgery care, lumbar punctures, and epilepsy monitoring. The unit utilizes telemetry equipment and the Meditech electronic medical record.
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NIHSS competency, telemetry competencies, and a minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience.
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Typical patient ratio is 4-5:1, with a team-oriented environment emphasizing positive personality traits and teamwork. Flexibility to switch to day shifts if requested in advance and availability for weekend coverage are preferred.
