The role emphasizes safety, quality documentation, and team collaboration to support optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Nurse in Overland Park, Kansas
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, at least 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), Basic Dysrhythmia interpretation, good attitude, team-oriented mindset, 0 years of experience required, Kansas license preferred or eligible to obtain, valid certification in these areas.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, proven teamwork skills, familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system, unit-specific certifications preferred.
• Additional Details:
  • The unit has high standards for documentation compliance, safety, and quality measures related to central lines, Foley catheters, Cdiff, and other healthcare-associated infections.
  • Staff utilize equipment such as EKG, bladder scanner, sit-to-stand, Hoyer lift, hover mat, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis.
  • Can float to similar units such as Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obstetrics, and Rehabilitative care.
  • Must adhere to uniform policy: royal blue scrub tops with royal blue or black pants, and specific undershirts.
  • The role requires compliance with unit policies, participation in nurse leader rounds, and a focus on patient-centered care, respectful communication, and safety protocols.
