Job Summary: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Prescott, Arizona. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a cardiac/medical unit within a healthcare facility. The position requires technical proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and adherence to unit protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, start date 08/24/2026.
Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS certifications; two years of RN experience; must possess a valid nursing license; location within 50 miles of the facility; proficiency in reading basic telemetry strips; experience with CVA and TIA; Cerner electronic charting experience recommended; experience with total joint replacement.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrating drips such as Diltiazem (Cardizem) at a set rate; familiarity with telemetry monitoring technology; ability to interpret telemetry strips and sign off on readings at least once per shift.
Unit Notes and Requirements: Clinician must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts or be deemed do not utilize for specific geographic regions for six months. Nurses need to take one day of orientation on the unit.
Patient Population: Patients with CHF, COVID-19, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetics, post-cath, total joint replacements.
Responsibilities: Read and interpret telemetry strips, respond to patient needs, work with charge nurse and house supervisor, float to appropriate units as needed, adhere to dress code (navy blue), and follow unit-specific protocols.
Additional Information: Shifts are scheduled for 4 weeks with self-scheduling; weekends required twice per schedule; holidays include Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving with specific shift arrangements; no call or standby requirements; floating to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified.
