Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in Parkersburg, West Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit in an acute care setting. The position offers a fast-paced environment where teamwork and clinical skills are essential to manage patients with various cardiac and medical conditions.
Job Details:
Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with scheduled weekends as required, and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with reading strip interpretations, handling cardiac patient care, and understanding telemetry monitors.
Duties: Monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing patients with post-heart caths, CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions, performing EKGs, assisting with patient admissions/discharges, and responding to acute events as needed.
Additional Information: Unit staff works in a collaborative environment emphasizing teamwork. Orientation includes computer training and shadowing before independently managing patient care. Float rotation may include other units within the hospital, with patient assignments aligned to skillset.
