Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse is needed in Alexandria, Louisiana, for night shifts. This role involves providing care for cardiac and telemetry patients in a non-step down unit setting. The position offers the possibility of temp-to-perm placement and requires a dedicated professional to deliver quality nursing care independently.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights (7PM - 7AM), 36 hours per week minimum, with start date flexibility.
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of employment or in a compact state, BLS certification from AHA, ACLS certification from AHA, and one year of related nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional experience in telemetry or cardiac nursing preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Responsibilities: Provide routine and complex nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for cardiac and telemetry patients. Administer medications and treat symptoms according to protocol, monitor for side effects, document care, and educate patients and families. Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and hospital policies.
• Equipment and Protocols: Utilize proper clinical protocols, electronic medical record documentation, and nursing process standards for patient care.
• Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Newly hired experienced RNs must attend organizational orientation within the first 30 days and complete required competency validations.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty required.
• Work Schedule: 7PM-7AM.
