Job Details
Position: Telemetry (TELE) Nurse
Location: Currently available at an acute care facility
Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA). Experience in medical/surgical nursing is essential. Registered Nurses (RNs) are required to have a license to submit and be in good standing. No specific experience minimum is required beyond the general 2-year minimum experience for the certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and troubleshooting respiratory therapy equipment such as High Flow and BiPAP devices.
Additional Information: The unit cares for patients with conditions such as colorectal cancer, ileus, infections like osteomyelitis, sepsis, pneumonia, and postoperative recovery related to colorectal surgeries. Nurses are responsible for reading EKG strips and troubleshooting tele monitors which utilize GE technology. The unit employs a flexible scheduling model with self-scheduling or block scheduling, requiring work every other weekend or less frequently, and rotation for holidays. Orientation lasts three shifts, and the dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
