Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Telemetry position requiring at least one year of acute care and specialty experience along with an active CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (1900-0730)
• Full-time position at 0.9 FTE
• Epic charting system experience required
• Cares for patients with cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, neurological, renal, orthopedic, and cardiovascular conditions
• Manages cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required)
• Performs cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Utilizes Rapid Response/Code teams as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CPI preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in telemetry specialty within the past 2 years
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Experience managing respiratory conditions including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
• Skilled in wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE use
• Two professional references required, including at least one supervisory/director/manager reference from the applicable unit within the last year
• Full 7-year work history with any gaps explained

• Provides direct patient care for telemetry and medical-surgical patients with complex needs
• Supports throughput and clinical outcomes within a high-acuity unit
• Candidates previously employed by the facility must disclose this at the time of consideration and receive prior approval
• Once under consideration, requested time off cannot be changed
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
