Job Requirements

• Active RN license eligible for assignment in Kentucky
• At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and patient assessment skills
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Comfort working in a fast-paced telemetry and acute care environment with varying patient acuity
• Experience with chest tubes and telemetry-related bedside care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to unit standards
• Support patients undergoing chest tube insertions and other bedside procedures as needed
• Assist with bedside paracentesis and thoracentesis care when appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and communicate effectively with the care team
• Help promote a positive patient experience and support a collaborative telemetry unit culture
• Follow unit telemetry monitoring and stroke care policies and procedures
