Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Travel Emergency Department position in Tucson, AZ, requiring 2 years of ED experience and active AZ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a 38-bed unit
• Trauma Level III Certified facility, designated as both a Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving center
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12s)
• 13-week contract
• Floating required
• EMR: Cerner experience required
• Scrubs: black required

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provides shift-level accountability for Emergency Department patient care using the Nursing Process, in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Responsibilities include critical thinking, clinical decision-making, delegation of care, and supervision of assigned personnel
• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is not required but recommended
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
