Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Job Description & Requirements

Schedule
- Shift: 3x12s, Nights
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend: Every 3rd weekend
- Holidays: As needed
- Floating: Required. Travelers may be required to float between all Cone Health campuses as needed.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- NO first-time travelers
- Acute Care Rehab experience preferred
- BLS required
- EPIC experience required
Required Clinical Skills
- Interpretation of laboratory results
- Medication reconciliation
- Patient health questionnaire/history
- Allergy assessment/documentation
- Vital signs: BP, respirations, temperature, and pulse
- Dressing changes
- Set-up of aseptic/sterile procedure trays
- Capillary specimen collection
- Specimen labeling
- Throat specimen collection
- Urine collection – UA clean catch
- Phlebotomy
- Telephone triage
- Pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
Patient Population
Inpatient rehabilitation department providing specialized care to patients with rehabilitation needs, including:
- CVA / Stroke
- TBI
- ABI
- Spinal cord injuries
- Neurological diagnoses
- Generalized debility
- Aneurysm
- Post-operative surgical patients
Patient Ratios
- Standard ratio: 1:6
- One unit may assign a nurse 7 patients on a rotating basis.
- The 7-patient assignment is intended to have an acuity level equivalent to the standard 6-patient assignment.
Important Traveler Information Floating is required. All travelers must be willing to float between Cone Health campuses based on staffing needs.
