Key Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician
• Apply the nursing process to collaborate with patients, family members/significant others, and the broader healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with standards of nursing practice and departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and evidence-based methods and techniques relevant to the specialty area
• Ensure compliance with all administrative, departmental, and professional standards, including any specialty-specific certifications required by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License or Multi-State Compact RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Stroke certification required
• Telemetry certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry clinical specialty
