• Schedule: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; 36 guaranteed hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts

• Patient Ratios: Approximately 4–5 patients per nurse
• Unit: 36-bed cardiac telemetry department with full staffing support
• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts during a four-week schedule, generally Saturday and Sunday for day-shift staff
• Documentation System: Meditech

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry or acute-care nursing experience
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Demonstrated experience caring for cardiac and higher-acuity patients
• Experience recovering post-cath patients, excluding sheath removal
• Experience caring for patients following pacemaker placement and stroke patients
• Experience managing amiodarone and Cardizem infusions
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy hospital environment
• Strong communication, prioritization, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a cardiac telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac catheterization and pacemaker procedures
• Manage patients receiving amiodarone and Cardizem infusions according to established protocols
• Support the care of stroke patients and other medically complex individuals
• Administer medications, complete nursing assessments, and document care in Meditech
• Collaborate with providers, nursing colleagues, patient care technicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Float to other telemetry, medical-surgical, or progressive care areas as needed
• Promote safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care throughout each shift
