Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Start Date: November 1, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending January 30, 2027
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week; three 12-hour night shifts
• Shift: Approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend rotation
• Patient Care Environment: 37-bed medical telemetry unit with EPIC charting
• Patient-to-RN Ratio: Typically 1:5–6 on nights

Medical Telemetry Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• Telemetry certification
• At least 2 years of RN experience in one location and 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry strips and recognize dysrhythmias
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and titratable drips, including Cardizem, nitroglycerin, Lasix, and heparin
• Experience caring for patients with cardiac and complex medical conditions
• Willingness to float to applicable units when needed
• Ability to complete required medication and dysrhythmia competency assessments

Medical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with CHF, atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, pneumonia, and other complex medical conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer and monitor cardiac and other high-risk medication infusions according to orders and established protocols.
• Care for patients following cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, and other cardiovascular procedures.
• Complete focused assessments, medication administration, care planning, documentation, and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, coordinated patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and communicate changes during handoff.
• Float to appropriate units when required while maintaining safe, patient-centered care.
