Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift position requiring a CO or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Med Surg 2 unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for unit or service
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in the specialty being applied for required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and health status
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Background check and drug screening required, with a firm documentation due date affecting start dates
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
