Job Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with pre-cardiac cath patients and managing ports required
• Ability to support patient ratios of approximately 5-6 patients
• Must be comfortable floating between observation and medical telemetry areas as needed
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccination required per compliance guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled telemetry nursing care to adult observation patients and inpatient boarders
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including ED boarders awaiting inpatient placement
• Manage ports, peripheral IVs, central lines, and related therapies with confidence and accuracy
• Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, respiratory support, and routine cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic
• Adapt quickly to changing unit needs and float to observation or telemetry areas as assigned
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and high standards of clinical practice throughout the assignment
