Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least one year of acute care experience and NIH Stroke certification.

Details

• Med-Surg/Oncology unit with 31 beds
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Documentation via Meditech
• 12-hour night shifts (7P-7A) with rotating weekends
• Floating required to other Med-Surg and Tele units
• Unit staffed with secretaries 6am-10pm and techs available all shifts

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum one year of recent acute care experience required
• Strong physical assessment and documentation skills required
• Experience caring for acute care stroke patients required
• Well-developed critical thinking and time management skills required
• Knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs/HAIs required
• Chemo certification a plus, especially for oncology patients
